Quick Tips: Sparklines and Combined Breakdown Charts in Google Data Studio
Read MoreSurvey results in the raw can be useful, but for some projects it can be helpful to see the connection between how each user answers multiple questions. Let’s imagine we asked a group of people two questions about breakfast options, how much they like eggs and how much they like ham. It’s easy to make a bar chart for how many people like/hate each breakfast food, but these questions are hard unless you have another approach, like the alluvial diagrams discussed in this post:
Do people who like eggs also like ham?
Do people who like eggs hate ham? (or vice versa)
Google Analytics provides information on Daily Active Users (“1 Day Active Users”) and Monthly Active Users (I typically use “28 Day Active Users” since the end-users for the products I’m working on tend to have a strong weekly activity cycle). This is good data to have, but I had a few improvements I wanted to put in place:
View the same info in Google Data Studio so I can display it in an embedded report
Show the report viewer the DAU/MAU ratio (popular metric for product “stickiness”)
Show the report viewer average DAU and MAU stats…
